The Fryxell Geology Museum is home to one of the finest collections of rocks, minerals and fossils in the Midwest. Over 1,500 specimens are kept at the museum that have been collected since the 1880s. Dinosaur fossils are popular attractions at this museum. This museum is part of the geology department of Augustana College.

The Hauberg Indian Museum features displays on the cultures of the Sauk and Mesquakie Indians. Replicas of houses that were used by the Indians, dioramas, artifacts, authentic trade goods and jewelry are among the many items on display at the museum.
