TBA Every Labor Day Weekend the Rock Island Grand Prix draws crowds to the city for go-kart racing. The event features over $25,000 in prize money and 15 class divisions, drawing racers from all over the United States, Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, France, Italy and Colombia. The Grand Prix is the largest go-kart street race in the world and is the only race in the United States that is sanctioned for international drivers. Nightly outdoor concerts, driver's parade, fan autograph sessions and a post-race awards ceremony are just a few of the activities at this festival.

TBA Irish culture is celebrated during the Erin Feis Irish Family Festival that is held every September in Rock Island, Illinois. The festival is held as a fundraiser for the St. Patrick's Day Parade in March and other activities. Festival events include a Unity Mass, food, drink, memorabilia, cultural displays, children's activities and live Irish entertainment on two stages.
